Leo Medina is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, where he leads the NeuroEng@Usach research group. Previously, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Miami, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Valparaíso, an associate researcher, and a PhD student at Duke University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, as well as an R&D engineer at the University of Chile. His research focuses on applying engineering techniques to understand the nervous system and support the treatment of neurological disorders. He has led ANID-funded projects on the complexity analysis of bioelectrical signals for diagnostics and neuronal responses to electrical stimulation. Beyond academia, he is passionate about soccer, cooking, and, most importantly, his family.
